Heineken kicks up its campaign of the new lite beer to compete with Miller Lite.
"Light beer had more than a 47 percent market share in the United States last year, compared to 44 percent in 2000, Heineken said. Anheuser-Busch's Bud Light still has the majority of the light-beer market in the United States, selling 532 million cases last year, up 2.9 percent from 2003, according to data from Adams Beverage Group. Its next closest competitor is Miller Lite from Milwaukee-based Miller, which sold 238.7 million cases, up 10 percent from 2003."
