Split up those brews!

Paying Your Brewing Buddies - Homebrew Payment Chart

One of the toughest thing in homebrewing is how do you split up all that sweet sweet beer after it has been brewed. If you brewed by yourself, this is as easy as sweeping up all the chips at a poker table, but if you brought in a few friends to brew, it can get a little sticky (and not just the wort).

Bar America's Homebrew Payment Chart

As always, Bar America is here to help. We have spent countless years perfecting a fair and equitable way of deciding who gets what when it comes to the brew. For our example below we will go with a five gallon brew that produces about forty eight 12oz bottles.

  • 6 - Buying the kit or ingredients
  • 12 - Brewing on brew day
  • 1 - Housing the brew, hey space ain't cheap
  • 2 - Second fermentation switch*
  • 15 - Bottle washing
  • 10 - Bottling
  • 2 - Labeling*

* If there are extra or if theses tasks are skipped the excess goes to the bottle washers.

Hope this helps you on your new brew day and keeps your brew buddies happy.
