Brooklyn Pennant '55 Pale Ale

Brooklyn's Pennant '55 Pale Ale is a chestnut colored ale, faintly cloudy in appearance. Aside from being very fresh smelling, the nose is filled most pleasantly with hops and smooth malt. An especially well balanced ale, both invigorating and intoxicating, equal parts full, rich tasting malt and suave hoppy bitterness. The finish is dry and satisfying. While this medium-bodied ale packs a hefty charge of alcohol, there is no sharp edge to it. It seems that any beer the Brooklyn Brewery produces is of the highest quality, and a shining example of the particular style, and that is particularly true for this pale ale, a fitting tribute to the Brooklyn Dodgers 1955 World Series victory. Garrett Oliver has proven himself, yet again, to be one of the most gifted brewers in the United States.
