Maudite Ale

Berries and honey are apparent in the nose; a rather enjoyable light, crisp aroma. The honey colored body is slightly cloudy, with a thin head that didn't run too deep or stay too long. The zesty raspberry and blackberry taste of this medium-bodied fruit ale is spirited, with underpinnings of honey, strike a good balance of flavors. Mountain Berry Ale's heavy carbonation imparts a vivacious effervescence. The finish is mostly dry, a bit tart, a bit sweet. While perhaps not the most complex of beers, this tasty fruit ale is a nice addition to Saranac's line-up.
