| This black and tan is a blend of New Amsterdam stout and amber beers. While its smooth and creamy mouthfeel are enjoyable our tasters found it to be a bit too mild, a bit too pedestrian for their tastes. The faint hints of bitterness and fruit disappeared very quickly into an encompassing bland maltiness that lacked real character. Unfortunately this beer just doesn't take chances, and is, while certainly not unpleasant tasting, tending towards mediocrity. | |||||||||||
