Foamy eggshell colored head sits atop the cloudy, light pumpkin colored body; savory smelling malt, full, rounded, and complex, making for an exciting olfactory experience. As the nose suggests, this brew is primarily about soft, smooth heavy malty sweetness. Surprisingly effervescent and light in the mouth, and faintly dry on the tongue. Three Finger Jack ends with a warm, friendly aftertaste. It's curious that an Oktoberfest like this one should call itself an "amber" beer. There's a reason why the Three Finger Jack took home the gold in 1995; the playful and fun-loving taste should have no problem appealing to a wide range of beer drinkers.
