Mackeson Triple Stout
Mackeson Triple Stout caused dissension in the ranks here at BarAmerica. There was no fence-sitting on this one as our tasters either loved this stuff or couldn't stand it, so we've decided to present both sides. Those entranced by this milk stout rejoiced in its muscular sweetness, finding the chocolate flavor delightfully rich and heartwarming, and its consistency wonderfully smooth and thick. Those against it found it cloyingly sweet, syrupy, somewhat flat tasting, and too much like chocolate milk. Let the buyer beware, we both recommend and warn against Mackeson; if this sounds like a cop out, it is. We'd like to know what our readers out there think of this ale, so email us your opinions.
